March (& February) Planner Spreads

I always said I would never be one of those people who said “wow this year is flying by,” but in 2018 at by myself saying it often. As you’ve seen in my previous planner lineup I am working with several Happy Planners. I also just recently incorporated a recipe planner into the mix. I still have a desire to add memory planning to my repertoire but I have not started on that yet.

February completely flew by so I did not get a chance to edit and upload a separate video for those spreads. However, I came up with a cute compromised by incorporating both months into one video.

I made sure to get this video up for the month of March early. You can always see a close up of the weekly spreads via my planner Instagram, @Married2KDK. There I tag the shops in each post so you’ll know where the stickers came from.

I truly hope that you enjoy a quick flip through of my planners via this recent YouTube video.

Also, don’t forget to enter this month’s GREAT WASHI GIVEAWAY #2! This month I’m giving away this cute workout washi tape since I am back on my Weight Loss Wednesday (check that out here) journey. To enter you just need to be a US resident, 18+, YouTube subscriber and blog follower.

2018 Planner Lineup & January Spreads

This year my planner stack has increased slightly… okay quite a bit.. well, let’s just be completely honest and say it has grown.¬† I have been planning for nearly one calendar year and in that time my collection has grown tremendously and I have fallen in love with pen and paper all over again.¬† My writing has improved and my family is always able to check to see what we have coming up in two flips rather than scrolling through my phone calendar.¬† I truly enjoy this hobby and can’t wait to share my 2018 lineup with you.¬† You can see MOST of my collection in this recent YouTube video.

Next up I want to share my January planner spreads which you can see in this recent YouTube video.

FREE Printables to Personalize Your Homeschool/Teacher Planner

I’ve been using the Simple Homeschool Planner every since our oldest son was in kindergarten.¬† I love the useful extra pages, scripture used throughout, and the d√©cor is always beautiful.¬† This planner is made and sold exclusively by Mardel, a Christian bookstore.¬† The price point is great and you can always apply a coupon to sweeten the deal.¬† I also like that the company offers FREE shipping over $9.99, saving me a trip to the store where I will be tempted to buy all the matching accessories.

You can see how I personalized my Simple Homeschool Planner via this recent YouTube video.

You can see our homeschool lesson plans and how I decorated this planner via another recent YouTube video.

This school year’s planner was the most gorgeous one but it was also poorly constructed.¬† The spiral kept malfunctioning and my pages kept falling off.¬† I attempted to exchange it for a new one but the planner was never in stock at my local Mardel.¬† I also couldn’t get it online or at any Mardel within 25 miles.¬† I tried my best to fix it or just bear through it but ultimately,¬† I decided to purchase a different homeschool planner.¬† I’m not sure if I’m completely sold on giving up on the Simple Homeschool Planner for our next school year but for now, I’m happy with the new system.¬† A review on my new homeschool planner will be posted soon.

For now, be sure to get the FREE HOMESCHOOL PLANNER PRINTABLES by clicking this helpful hyperlink.   **These printables were obtained via a FREE DOWNLOAD from The House on Hillbrook blog. **

December Planner Spreads

2017 is coming to an end and I must say that I am truly happy with the new planning hobby that I started earlier this year.  Throughout the past ten months I have come to find a sense of tranquility when I am decorating my planner and peace when I see things are organized for the month or week.  Of course, I still leave room for spontaneity especially because I am married to Mr. Spontaneous himself, but I find comfort in knowing the bill payments have been scheduled, the appointments are set, and the meal plan is complete.  Next year I plan to add Memory Planning to my hobby and I look forward to creating some beautiful scrapbook photo albums.

My December planner spreads are filled with plenty of glitter, sparkle, and color.  I love the holiday season so my planner spreads definitely reflect my love for Christmas, family time, and making lifetime memories.  This month the spreads feature stickers from the Me and My Big Ideas (Happy Planner) sticker books as well as washi from Dollar Tree and Amazon.  You can see my monthly and weekly planner spreads via this recent YouTube video.

My faith journal monthly spreads include a breakdown of a beautiful card made by my friend Catina, along with other goodies available in detail via my recent blog post.

Hope your holiday season is off to a great start and I pray that you enjoy making great memories for the remainder of 2017 and beyond.

 Make this season bright,

JD and Brooklyn & Mocha Glam Box for Planners

Recently I was in search for some planner stickers that represented women of color and I was having a hard time narrowing down my search.¬† I tried a couple of shops but did not like the shipping time and upon arrival, the items weren’t up to par.¬† While clicking hashtags on Instagram I came across a few posts showcasing the Mocha Glam Box for Planners.¬† I was so excited! The very thing I had been looking for was available to me via monthly subscription so I decided to try it out.¬† To see the goodies I received check out my recent YouTube video.

Included in the box I received were stickers from a new Etsy shop called JD and Brooklyn.  I have become a faithful customer of this shop because of the variety of planner stickers offered, the great price point, and extremely reasonable shipping cost.  With JD and Brooklyn you are able to customize your stickers with several skin tone options and a few even have various hairstyles to chose from.

Since the shop is so new I know most people wonder about shipping time and customer service.  With my first order, two sheets were missing and I notified Philshaunda via Etsy message the same day.  She contacted me immediately and the missing sheets were at my house within three business days.  As for order shipping times, my orders have all shipped and arrived to my mailbox within six business days.  I encourage you to check her shop for the detailed shipping information and keep in mind that it takes time to customize, print, pack, label, and ship anything.

Mocha Glam 5

This month I used items from my Mocha Glam Box for Planners and my multiple JD and Brooklyn hails in my various planner spreads.¬† Remember to check out my Instagram for weekly planner posts!¬† And don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you will¬†see all of my October spreads via my recent planner video.

Happy Planning,

Introducing Stick it in Your Planner

Happy Sunday!  I know this post is going up later in the evening but I hope all the #plannerbabes will jump with excitement for this blog post.  So, here it goes. . .

STIYP banner 1

In the beginning of 2017 I started using a Happy Planner which I have mentioned in a few recent blog posts.  After sharing my July monthly flip through in all my planners, via this wonderful blog post, I decided to give you all some insight to the current sticker shops I follow on Instagram and shop via Etsy.  Stick In In Your Planner is the first shop I’m introducing and it just happens to be the first one I ordered from.  Lisa is known for her customizable daily/function stickers, cute kits, and great shipping cost.  The variety of kits and daily stickers offered includes an array of colors, premium finishes, and even additional goodies like the monthly mystery box.  You can see me share a recent haul from her shop via my @Married2KDK Instagram and you can see a close up of the Rose Gold, Mother’s Day kit via this haul video.

**Check the #SIIYP on social media below for SPECIAL COUPON CODE**

The items I’ve purchased from Lisa’s planner sticker shop have been great quality, arrive quickly, and are well worth the price.  She communicates with her customers and always responded to my inquiries in a timely manner.  So make time to visit Lisa’s shop, browse the virtual aisles, place some stickers or planner accessories in your cart, apply that coupon code, and enjoy your purchases.  Be sure to follow her on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest for plenty of planner inspiration and let her know that @Married2KDK sent you.  You can also check out her blog for a cute planner freebie!
