I’m so glad I came across these two cute $1.00 items at my local Dollar Tree last week. After picking them up I decided to create this cute Valentine’s door sign which will remain on our front door until the end of February. For details on the products used and a quick tutorial, check out this video and be sure to share, share, share!
This year my planner stack has increased slightly… okay quite a bit.. well, let’s just be completely honest and say it has grown. I have been planning for nearly one calendar year and in that time my collection has grown tremendously and I have fallen in love with pen and paper all over again. My writing has improved and my family is always able to check to see what we have coming up in two flips rather than scrolling through my phone calendar. I truly enjoy this hobby and can’t wait to share my 2018 lineup with you. You can see MOST of my collection in this recent YouTube video.
Next up I want to share my January planner spreads which you can see in this recent YouTube video.
This year I decided to share some great deals with all my blog family. Recently I came across the BLITSY website and I was pleasantly surprised to find such great deals on planner, art, and children’s items. I love that they offer coupon codes, you have the ability to earn points, and their two day shipping is free on purchases over $29. I’ve purchased quite a few things from Blitsy during the holiday season and you can see some of the items in this recent YouTube video.
For those that watched until the end, I hope you’re excited about this quick giveaway. I use washi tape in my planner, on cards, and even when wrapping gifts. I’m also obsessed with Rose Gold right now so I thought this prize was perfect to share with you all.
I wanted to share a staple lip product that I’ve been using for a few years. This lip scrub has surpassed others because it is extra coarse and the finely milled ingredients are able to truly smooth your lips during the harsh winter season. I enjoy sugar scrubs and use those daily but once a week (twice in the winter) I prefer the Beauty Treats Walnut Lip Scrub. I love the consistency of the product, being that you get more exfoliation from it, and the cost can’t be beat.
You can purchase the Beauty Treats Walnut Lip Scrubs from your local beauty supply and various online retailers. Currently the price ranges from $2-$4 individually or as a four piece set for $7-$9. The Beauty Treats Sugar Scrubs retail for $1-$3 individually or $6-$9 as a set.
I hope you enjoyed this quick look at some great lip scrubs. If store bought isn’t your thing, then I have a quick DIY for you. You can create your own organic lip scrubs with items you already have in your kitchen. Just use sugar or salt, an oil of your choice, and some essential oil or extract for fragrance. You can get the ingredients list and see this quick process in my DIY LIP SCRUB tutorial video.
Here’s to having the perfect pout all year long! (And here’s to sweet kisses with the ones you love.)
I’ve been using the Simple Homeschool Planner every since our oldest son was in kindergarten. I love the useful extra pages, scripture used throughout, and the décor is always beautiful. This planner is made and sold exclusively by Mardel, a Christian bookstore. The price point is great and you can always apply a coupon to sweeten the deal. I also like that the company offers FREE shipping over $9.99, saving me a trip to the store where I will be tempted to buy all the matching accessories.
You can see how I personalized my Simple Homeschool Planner via this recent YouTube video.
You can see our homeschool lesson plans and how I decorated this planner via another recent YouTube video.
This school year’s planner was the most gorgeous one but it was also poorly constructed. The spiral kept malfunctioning and my pages kept falling off. I attempted to exchange it for a new one but the planner was never in stock at my local Mardel. I also couldn’t get it online or at any Mardel within 25 miles. I tried my best to fix it or just bear through it but ultimately, I decided to purchase a different homeschool planner. I’m not sure if I’m completely sold on giving up on the Simple Homeschool Planner for our next school year but for now, I’m happy with the new system. A review on my new homeschool planner will be posted soon.
Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and have already began working towards accomplishing your goals for 2018. I’m so excited for all the new things coming to the blog this year and hope you enjoy the upgrades too.
