The EASIEST Way to Teach Your Child to Read

I am starting this process with our three year old, Bam Bam, and thought it would be great to share with my blog family as well.  If you’ve ever felt intimidated by teaching your children how to read or didn’t know where to start, I have the perfect book for you.  This post isn’t a review, just a quick tidbit to inform you of what has worked well in our home academy and with our friend’s children.

Teach Your Child to read 1

Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, by Siegfried Engelmann is a great book that provides the teacher (parent) with a perfect set-up to get their student (child) on board with reading.  Each lesson includes a script, exercises, and even a story for the child to read on their own.  In the beginning the stories are a few words but by the end of the book, your student (child) will be reading two and three page adventures within this workbook.  They will also probably have a few favorite books from their local library.  I could definitely go on and on about this book but I think you’ll benefit more by watching my detailed review via my YouTube channel.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment.  If you need more testimonies before you make your decision, “don’t just take my word for it,” check out reviews via online marketplaces where books are sold.  This book was always highly recommended by our friends that work in education, which I am extremely grateful for, so I am sure it would be a great addition to your homeschool as well.

Make today adventurous,

Ta’Neisha K.
